In memory of ...

Diane Gosse

My sister Diane Gosse, known to her friends as Dee Dee, died on July 27, 1975. Dee Dee was coming home after an evening with friends when a fire truck without its siren on, responding to a false alarm, ran a red light and hit her car broadside. She was killed instantly.

Dee Dee was a unique and fun-loving person who is missed every day. She loved music and was taking guitar lessons. She also loved to paint. On the weekend she was killed, she had just finished a painting, which we found when we went to the house. It was her best work and hangs in my home today. Dee Dee had gone back to school to pursue her love for art.

My family, which includes my parents Leon and Marilyn Gosse and my husband Steve, lives in Brookfield, WI.  We have been fortunate that three of Dee Dee’s high school friends have kept in touch. We have found much comfort in their friendships. I can't begin to thank Eileen Toohey, Cindy Rapp and Diane Cohen for their love and support over the years.
